Libertyville is a suburb of Chicago located in Lake County. As of the 2010 census, the village of Libertyville had a total population of 20,315.
The Des Plaines River forms much of the western boundary of the village. Libertyville's main street is Milwaukee Avenue. The main route to Chicago is Interstate 94; Chicago's Loop is approximately 45 miles away. Libertyville is also a winner of the Great American Main Street Award, given to towns that strive to maintain the look and feel of the village as it has for generations.
